Laying Down the Tools: The Hard Decision to Close Quality Carpentry WNC

To all who have followed and supported my work,

I'm writing this to let you know that I am permanently closing my business, Quality Carpentry WNC. My last day of operations will be September, 4 2025.

Carpentry is more than a job to me; it's a passion. I am so proud of the work I've done, and I'm deeply grateful to the wonderful clients who have shared my appreciation for true craftsmanship. Building your decks and porches, remodeling your homes, and seeing the joy on your faces—your support and trust have meant the world to me.

However, passion alone doesn't pay the bills or insulate you from the harsh realities of being an independent craftsman. The truth is, the stress of unpredictable income and the immense emotional toll of navigating difficult client situations have become unsustainable. The constant battle to be paid fairly for your time and skill is a fight that wears you down. Too often, the craftsman is the one who bears all the risk, and I have reached a point where I can no longer carry that burden.

I am not leaving the craft behind, but I am leaving the business of it. I have accepted a new role that offers more stability, and I am eager to start this next chapter.

To every client who paid on time, who communicated with respect, and who valued the work—thank you. You are the reason I kept going for as long as I did.

With sincere gratitude,

Beau Leonard
